Little River Marina and Family Resort has been Family owned and operated since 1986. We are committed to providing good quality service. It is located on beautiful Clarks Hill Lake and Strom Thurmond Dam, just a short drive from the Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia. Sunset at Little River Marina on Clark Hill lake Lake Thurmondis the largest man-made, Corps of Engineers managed lake east of the Mississippi River and south of the Great Lakes. It covers 70,000 acres and totals 1,300 miles of shoreline. Clarks Hill boasts a wide variety of fish, including large and small mouth bass, crappie, hybrid and striper bass, catfish, brim and others. For the avid hunter, there are Wildlife Management Areas and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Game Preserves for hunting geese, ducks, turkeys, and deer. Many outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the many water sports available on Clarks Hill/Strom Thurmond Lake, such as water skiing and wake boarding, tubing, knee boarding, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, parasailing, power boating, and sailing.

Little River Marina and Family Resort is nestled in a charming cove across from the Little River Bridge, between Gray’s Creek and Cherokee Creek. It has over 70 covered and uncovered dock spaces, 10 sheds, an 85-slip dry stack facility, and a storage yard for boats as well as campers. At Little River Marina, you can be sure your boat is in good hands.

More than Just a Marina

Several amenities are available for your convenience at Little River Marina, such as a public boat launch, a gas dock, and a marina store, complete with bait, tackle, groceries, boating needs, water sports accessories, licenses, and a wide assortment of gifts. While at the store, take time to savor the moment and “dine on the Veranda” overlooking the lake. The marina store offers several lunch choices, including pizza, hot dogs, sausage dogs, soup, chili, and sandwiches. Or, snack on boiled peanuts or your favorite ice cream.

Camping at Lake Thurmond Marina

If you’re considering an overnight stay, Little River Marina and Family Resort has 10 cabins of varying sizes, as well as a campground that will accommodate tents, RVs, and motor homes. Each graveled campsite is equipped with 20, 30, and 50 amp service, water, and picnic table. A dump station is available.

Boat Rentals

Pontoon boat rentals, kayak and canoe rentals, miniature golf, a fishing pier, and a volleyball court are also available to enhance any get-together. “The Meeting Place” can be rented and is perfect for seminars, family reunions, retreats, and company parties. It seats 55 people, has a kitchen, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a back porch with picnic tables, as well as picnic tables and swings on the lawn. Several birthday party packages are also available.

A Resort Christians can Enjoy

Little River Marina and Family Resort is committed to helping build stronger families and enhancing relationships. Crown Ministries presents seminars such as Journey to Financial Freedom and Business by the Book. Crossroads Counseling presents seminars on Anger, Communication, Co-dependency, and Marriage Enrichment. The Romance Package is also available as a fun way to “make a memory.” The package includes a half-day canoe rental, a picnic basket with lunch for two, a parasol for the lady, the words to Oh Solo Mio and a paddle for the man, a framed photo, and a hand-out of guided conversation topics to enhance the relationship and strengthen the marriage.
